Starting pitcher Barry Zito has been named the opening day starter for the San Francisco Giants. It sure didn’t take long for manager Bruce Bochy to name Zito the starter as pitchers and catchers just reported to spring training.
Zito will be at the top of the rotation but Matt Cain and Tim Linecum won’t be too hard behind. I really like those three pitchers for the Giants. All three of them are capable of winning 15 games this season, and that will really help out the ballclub as I think they will struggle with scoring runs.
