The San Francisco Giants continue to play bad as they lost to the San Diego Padres by the score of 8-4. If the Giants hadn’t scored three runs in the bottom of the 9th inning, it would have really been a blowout fo the Giants. What a dissapointing home opener for the Giants and their fans today. I think it is going to be like this all season long however.
Start Matt Cain got rocked early in the ballgame and put the Giants in a big hole. Cain only pitched 4.1 innings giving up seven hits, four earned runs, four walks, and five strikeouts. The big shot came off of Adrian Gonzalez’s bat when he hit a two run homerun in the first inning.
One bright spot for the Giants was Bengie Molina who tallied three RBI’s on the day.
