The SanFrancisco Giants made it intersting Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers as they battled the entire game to take the lead from the Brewers but it was the Brewers who held on for the 5-4 victory.
The Giants were held hitless until give innings by Manny Parra. In the 6th inning, the Giants got some hits and ended up scoring two runs to make it a 3-2 ballgame, but they wouldn’t get that close again until Ray Durham hit a solo homerun in the 8th inning.
Giants starter Kevin Correia gave up four runs and six hits in six innings. He needed to have a better outing then that. Like I’ve blogged about before, if the Giants pitching staff can’t keep the opposing team to under four runs, this Giants team isn’t going to win very many ballgames.
